Success Stories

In March 2000, a group of philosophers, psychologists, theologians, writers, activists, and artists came together for the very first time at Lady Margaret Hall in Oxford. Together, they explored perspectives on evil and held intensely creative, interdisciplinary conversations on the nature of human wickedness.

These conversations quickly gathered an impressive momentum, seeding a series of global dialogues and creating 14 major new projects:
These in turn generated over 40 publications encouraging personal storytelling, artistic expression, cross-disciplinary explorations and a series of ongoing initiatives across Europe. When diverse voices unite around shared questions, one idea truly becomes many. It also saw the formation of an interdisciplinary journal.

Narratives, Persons and Communities

We are naturally storytellers. It struck us as an interesting idea to bring storytellers together and see what might happen. From this one original event, bringing together historians, psychologists, artists, writers, and community leaders to explore how identities and communities are shaped by stories, over 12 new projects gradually emerged and rooted themselves in a rich exploration of narrative in all its forms.

From this initial dialogue, twelve thought-provoking projects emerged:
Each thread invites fresh research, creative expressions, and healing conversations—revealing how, when we examine and share our stories, one idea truly becomes many.
