Series Description

Emerald Interdisciplinary Connexions is a collaborative effort between Progressive Connexions, Inter/Connexions and Emerald Publishing. This series is open to submissions.

Emerald Interdisciplinary Connexions
promotes innovative research and encourages exemplary interdisciplinary practice, thinking and living through its edited volumes.

Books in the series develop dialogues between, among and across disciplines, professions, practices and vocations.

In these books, the interaction between authors are of paramount importance, bringing cognate topics and ideas into orbit with each other whilst simultaneously alerting readers to new questions, issues and problems.

The series encourages interdisciplinary interaction and knowledge sharing. To this end, it promotes imaginative collaborative projects which foster inclusive pathways to global understandings.

Adriana da Rosa Amaral

Adriana Amaral is a Professor at the Post-Graduate Program of Communication Studies at Universidade Paulista (UNIP) in Brazil. She's also a Researcher at The National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the coordinator of CULTPOP Lab - Research Lab in Pop Culture, Communication and Technologies. She has a PhD in Social Communication from PUCRS (Brazil) and has been a Visitant Scholar in University of Surrey and University of Salford (UK) and Universität Duisburg-Essen (Germany)

Shirin Abbas is an Academician, Consultant and Researcher with 35 years + experience in mainstream media, academics and research. She is a triple M.A and PhD in Mass Communication ( Social and Behavioural Change Communication) Her focus areas and expertise are Communication and Media, Women and Gender Studies.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer, licenced in South Africa.My professional interests include a focus on Depth and Archetypal psychotherapy, transference, counter transference and the intersubjective field in psychotherapy, training of young psychologists, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

June Jordaan is an Architect and Senior Lecturer in Architecture from Cape Town, South Africa. Her research interests include Space and Place, Places of Female Persecution and Witchcraft, Phenomenology, and more recently, Architectural Aesthetics related to Liminality.

Dr Petra Rehling is a German independent scholar, sinologist, freelance journalist and artist. Her publications include a book on Hong Kong cinema and articles on science fiction, fantasy, wuxia and cyberculture.

Rossitsa Terzieva-Artemis is Professor of Literature in the Department of Languages and Literature at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. She works in the fields of modern English and Anglophone literatures, continental philosophy, and cultural studies. Rossie holds an MA in English Language.
